Another amazing Trini food experience! Had some doubles and roti (with chicken) and it was delicious! The roti had to weight 2-3lbs! Felt like I was back in Carapichaima! Always good to travel and find places like this. If you're ever in Ft. Lauderdale you have to find Singh's!

Best roti place I have tried in south Florida so far !!!!! Most people know about Joy's but Singh's is definitely my favorite! The wait is not as long as Joys and the owners are so friendly and nice. The doubles are the closest to doubles that you get in Trinidad. Every time I go, I must get at least one doubles. The roti is really good too. I always get my roti separate and I always ask to get pumpkin with it. The goat roti and boneless chicken are amazing! The aloo pie is also really good too and the Sunday breakfast special is good. I have not tried the other items on the menu so I am not sure how they are. If they were closer to me, I would be there every week. They are well worth the drive and I will always go back when I get the chance.

Best place for my curry fix. As a Trini living here it's very hard to find good doubles. Tried this place and ordered the doubles with chicken. It was one of the best doubles I have had since being in Fl(much better than the more popular Joy's). The sauce was a bit runny but taste was on point. Also I had an aloo pie. Also delicious with a little yummy tamarind sauce included. Will be back soon to try the roti

Delicious food and nice people. I had the boneless chicken roti with paratha. Nice and spicy, but not too spicy. Highly recommend.

My review is for takeout only. My girlfriend picked up Chicken Curry with Roti for us to have for dinner. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS... IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ON THE TOILET ALL DAY DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I had the curry goat, potato, and pumpkin with paratha. My friend had a veggie roti. Later that night, I could not sleep. I had the most horrible stomach cramps, bloated stomach, and bubble guts. The next morning at work I SPENT A HALF HOUR ON THE TOILET, AND HAD TO RUN BACK EVER SO OFTEN. I spoke to my friend to see how she was feeling and she had the same feeling. She said she was shopping at Publix with her husband and had to leave him behind to RUN HOME AND USE THE TOILET. It is not a coincidence we had the same RUNNING BELLY. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!

The place is quite small but the food is amazing! I ordered the curry chicken roti and it was delish. It has a small spicy kick to it so be aware if you can't handle your pepper. I also recommend considering the wait time, not the best place to go if you are in a rush, however the food is worth the wait.

Authentic Trini food with prices you cannot beat. The owners are wonderful!! Perfect location, unbeatable prices and friendly service. I think it's important to support small business/family owned restaurants and I am pleased to say this is def on top off list of yummy Trini restaurants in S Fl.

Another Trini shop in SoFlo. Even though it's an hour away from me it's worth it. Don't be scared about the area and just walk straight to the shop lol. The person who took my order was cool and friendly and it feels soo chill there. Roti was cheap and delicious!! $7.50 for a boneless chicken roti??! And the size of it was enough to fill 2 persons but I finished it by myself lolol. Very flavourful and the food was made to order so expect a rel hot roti after waiting about 10 minutes. Highly recommend to check it out and next time I will try the doubles and bake and shark!!

I found this thru yelp and was very pleased with my first roti and doubles experience. It is owned by a husband and wife from Trinidad. The wife explained the menu to me. The food came out in less than 5 minutes. Chicken curry roti with bahl (tortilla like bread with split pea in middle) on the side(cost 50 cent more to not wrap it). It came with a side of green beans and boiled potato in a green sauce. The chicken had bones...so I didn't want it wrapped in bahl. The taste and spice level were perfect. You can pay extra for boneless. The doubles I LOVED! For $1.50 it's a meal in itself. The shell is lightly fried and a little sweet from the brown sweet sauce added to dough. The filling is a chickpea stew. Very good flavor with the sweet & savory. The husband /owner sat and talked to me for 15 minutes about the food being a mix of east and West Indian. His family owns the famous singhs in Queens. I want to try other roti places for comparison, but will return to this location for the great customer service/safe location/easy parking.

This is a great roti place in the same plaza as Five Star Bakery and across from Silver Pond/Maxim Oriental Bakery/Gou Lou Cheng BBQ. A year or two ago I'd come here occasionally when it was I think Ali's Roti Shop. I'm not West Indian at all but over the years I've come to enjoy Jamaican and Trini/Guyanese food. Although I'm partial to Joy's since it's much closer to me, the prices here are slightly cheaper. That said, the rotis come wrapped by default, getting the dhalpuri roti skin (layered with split peas) on the side is 50 cents more, perhaps to off set the extra cost of packaging. Onto the food. I got the veggie roti which was filled with curried pumpkin, potatoes, spinach, chickpeas, and extra peppa (hot sauce) on the side. Since I live farther away, the piping hot roti was more lukewarm by the time I got home. That said, it was still tasty and filling. The sweetness of the pumpkin came out and the potatoes were perfectly tender. The peppa itself tasted mainly of pure heat. As another reviewer has commented elsewhere, the only drawback I feel is that the music is playing loudly, which can be a pain when you're ordering or hear your name be called up.

We were craving some Roti and Caribbean goodness in the Curry. so went here on a friend's recommendation. Its located in the plaza that is right on 441 and there are other Caribbean/Haitian shops, bakeries, restaurants around. This palce has about 5-6 tables if you want to dine-in and had some funky re-mixed Bollywood music playing. The placed looked neat and had homely fsel to it. The people working there were friendly. They have Roti with all sorts of Caribbean food along with a Veggie Roti that comes with vegetarian entrees. No Jerk chicken though. The Curry Chicken came with Aloo Bhaji (Spiced Potato vegetable) and French Beans vegetable along with a pipping hot fresh Dhal (Lentil) Roti (a thin layer of Lentil is stuffed between two shells of a Roti). Also got the Aloo Pie (Spiced Potatoes served in a flour pie) The French Beans vegetable was simple awesome. It was cooked with some garlic. Very flavorful, fresh, and yet very simple. Just like home cooked. The Potato Vegetable was tasty and flavorful. The gravy of the curry chicken was simply delicious while some bites of the chicken seemed to be a little overcooked. The Aloo Pie was awesome. Not very oily while being flavorful and a tad bit spicy. One of the best appetizers out there. Another little gem out there to explore.

Stumbled upon this place by accident and talk about being in the right place at the right time! Service was excellent and more importantly the food was excellent. Had a conch, goat and chicken roti. Well prepared and properly seasoned. Compliments to the staff for filling my curry craving and will definitely visit again.
